Right after university, I joined Taliya, Iran’s first prepaid SIM card operator, during one of the most ambitious telecom rollouts in the country. I was hired as a Rollout Support Engineer, but quickly found myself working directly with the CTO and CEO offices, building automated, data-driven visualization and status reports across multiple value streams of projects. It was my first taste of high-velocity digital transformation.

Many of my colleagues from that era are now scattered across the globe — and we’re still connected. That early tribe shaped my leadership style: collaborative, analytical, and relentlessly improvement-driven.

After Taliya, I joined Siemens, which later merged into Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN). This was the moment my career went global.

I started as a Data Engineer in the Network Operations Center for IranCell data centers, eventually becoming Shift Leader and then Network Configuration Management Engineer, responsible for complex nationwide rehoming across data centers, BTS, and BSCs.

I worked closely with global telecom giants — Ericsson, Huawei, Alcatel, and local vendors — ensuring network stability for millions of users. This chapter taught me precision, scale, and the art of orchestrating massive systems without losing sight of the humans behind them.

In my late 20s, NSN opened the door to the international market. I joined the Network Configuration Management teams in Dubai and Chennai, supporting Vodafone India Chennai, where I received Agile and Scrum training in 2011.

It clicked instantly. Scrum felt like Lean for software — structured, human-centered, and built for continuous improvement. I became obsessed. That obsession changed my life.

I invested everything I had saved into an MBA at Golden Gate University in downtown San Francisco, specializing in Agile Project Management.

In 2016, I joined Expedia as a Scrum Master, supporting the Agile transformation of their Mobile Apps (iOS and Android) teams. I became part of the Agile Center of Excellence, and even stepped into my first Silicon Valley product role, supporting the Car Rental product backlog. This was my entry into the heart of tech.

In 2018, I moved into fintech, joining Western Union as a contractor — and quickly converting to full-time. I led as Program Agile Lead for the Account Payout Network, Agile Lead for Risk and Fraud Detection, and GDPR Program Lead through the final phase.

I worked across onshore and offshore teams, driving disciplined Agile-Lean operating models that resulted in major backend automation, improved data quality, data lake modernization, and machine learning enablement. This was where I learned to lead at enterprise scale.

I helped streamline processes for high-performing teams delivering the first integrated E*TRADE–Morgan Stanley product after the acquisition.

In 2022, I founded Scrumiz.ai, an AI-infused Agile-Lean consulting boutique built in San Francisco. Our mission is simple: enable organizations to adopt AI in a healthy, scalable, and human-centered way.
